At the Forefront of New Zealand Primary Health Service
Population health analysis and continuing quality assurance and improvement are important aspects of RAPHS’ work, but we go further than number crunching. We support general practices in all aspects of their clinical practice and business systems, helping patients – and their communities – benefit from our shared knowledge and services.
These services include clinical support for providers and patients, comprehensive business and health management services, access to clinical programmes, and representation at local, regional and national levels of primary health care.
RAPHS provides members with representation locally, regionally and/or nationally on health committees covering all sectors of primary health care including:
- Information Management
- Pandemic Planning, Community Advisory Group
- IPAC and IPA CEO Group
A Clinical Governance framework is at the heart all RAPHS activities as is advocacy on behalf of General Practice. Central to our activities is a liaison function between key sector providers including the MoH, DHB, PHO, and vendors.
