Rotorua Area Primary Health Services

If you live in the Rotorua area, it is now easier and more affordable than ever to take good care of your health.

That’s because General Practice teams and other community-based health professionals in the Rotorua area are working together to lower fees and offer loads of community-based health services and programmes.

Clinical services delivered by General Practitioners are funded by a number of sources including the Ministry of Health, Lakes DHB and Health Rotorua PHO.

These services and programmes are aimed at helping more than 70,000 Rotorua people live healthier, safer and more enjoyable lives.

You can access this health care by enrolling – for free - with a doctor’s surgery or health clinic that belongs to the Rotorua Area Primary Health Services (RAPHS).

It doesn’t matter to our members whether you are rich or poor or somewhere in between – in our eyes everyone has the right to good quality health care – and should expect it.

For more information on RAPHS and to find out how quick and easy it is to enrol, go to How to enrol with a RAPHS practice.
